About Julia

Julia first joined the Lodge City Rentals team as a Property Manager in 1995. Since then, she has built a plethora of practical knowledge and experience in the industry, in addition to becoming an Associate of the Real Estate Institute in 2000 and holding a New Zealand Certificate in Property Management (Level 4).

As well as being a property manager, Julia offers strong project management expertise. “I love the process when it comes to project management, from the design to execution, managing tradespeople to deliver incredible upgrades for landlords. Then as their Property Manager, I secure great tenants who I know will look after these properties.”

With that 100% commitment, Julia treats her properties within her portfolio as if they are her own. “I take the responsibility away from the owners, making the process run smoothly; once we establish that trust, they shouldn’t have to worry about a thing.”

As a natural problem solver, “the best part about the job is unravelling housing conundrums, whether it's finding a suitable tenant for a property, or enhancing a property’s features for the owner.”

Julia adopts a very hands-on approach in her work, and prompt and clear communication is paramount. “I am driven to resolve issues wherever possible before I close down for the day.”

Over her career, Julia has witnessed many changes and technological advancements in her profession. However, one foundation that remains the same is the personal nature of property management.

“It’s very much a personable, face-to-face business. I’d much rather pick up the phone to settle a matter in five minutes or meet a client or tenant in person, than write a lengthy email.”

People are right at the centre for Julia. “I love meeting new people. Every day is different
and that's what I enjoy about property management.”
