Spotlight on Hamilton Businesses - Zealong Tea Estate
We’re proud of our success, and we love to shine a light on other successful Waikato businesses, especially ones that bring a culture and unique taste to our region, which is exactly what Zealong Tea Estate does. If you haven’t spent an hour or two sipping tea overlooking the widespread grounds of the plantation, you need to book it into your calendar immediately. The pristine estate lies on 48 Hectares on the outskirts of Hamilton, run by a team of rigorously trained masters in the art of tea making. It all started in 1996 when it’s founder, Vincent Chen, imported 130 plants from the best tea growing regions in Asia, from there the dream grew, as did the estate. Now a thriving and well-established oasis of all things delicious, the Zealong Tea House has earned a reputation as a foodie’s paradise. Zealong was a winner at the 2016 Westpac Waikato Business Excellence Awards, picking up the Community Contribution award, and are very proud to be making a contribution to the wider community.
